Uttar Pradesh is ranked 1st for domestic tourist arrivals among all Indian states it has around 71 million tourist arrivals each year. It has a vibrant culture, ancient places, monuments, festivals and ancient places of worship, Uttar Pradesh is home to three World Heritage Sites which are The Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. Taj Mahal describe as “Crown of the Palaces” it is a ivory white marble mausoleum located south side of the  Yamuna river in the city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite Mumtaz.

In 1983 Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taj Mahal attracts huge number of tourist from all around the India as well as world. As per the records it has 2 million tourists in 2001. A two tier pricing system is there 50 INR for Indian tourists and 1100 INR for foreign tourists. In October, November and February it has most of the tourists crowd.

Until 1638 Agra Fort was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal. It was buit by Akbar in 1573, the total area is 380,000 square meter, Agra Fort is also 2nd UNESCO World Heritage Site in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

After Panipat battle in 1526, Babar was stayed in the Fort. Currently the entry to Agra Fort Is allowed on Amar Singh gate only some portion of the fort is used by the Indian Army. The fort is very expensive and contains multiple buildings that is also worth visiting.

Another UNESCO World Heritage Site of Uttar Pradesh, it is Fatehpur Sikri is a small town in Agra Distric it is about 40KM’s from Agara, the nearest airport it in Agra City. Fatehpur Sikri is famous for its Buland Darwaza, a 177 ft entrance to Fatehpur Sikri complex.

The name Buland Darwaza is an urdu word and it literally means Magnificent Door. The height of Buland Darwaza is around 54 meters from the ground level. This was built by Akbar in 1601. Vrindavan is the most important place to be visited by a Hindu person. It is the most prolific place which is associated with Lord Krishna. Vrindavan and Mathura are considered as the twin holy cities of India. There are many temple which are a long dated back that also holds significant importance in Indian history.

The actual location of Sangam is called Triveni, located on the banks of River Ganga & Yamuna. It is visited by thousands of pilgrims around the world. Actually, for the visitors only two rivers are seen to join each other, third being the mythical river. It is believed that the third river flows benath the earth and meets other two from its base. Phool Bagh also known as Ganesh Udhyan is one of the most beautiful and picturesque place situated in Kanpur. Kanpur is also known for its serene beauty as whole city is situated at the bank of river Ganga. the Phool Bagh is not an ordinary garden. It has its historic importance. After the end of world war the centre building was transformed into Orthopedic Rehabilitation. It served as the pain relief for all those who were injured in war. The center building is now known as Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial (K.E.M. Hall).

Nowadays the center building is used for public meeting purpose. the flower show is organised once every year. This garden has some of the rare plants and tree collection. It is one the most maintained park in Kanpur.

It was built by the British as King Edward Memorial Hall in honour of Edward VII. It is a storehouse of artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of the events and people who have influenced the making of Kanpur city and tell many interesting details about the historical past of the city.

As it is the official museum, it is the primary local institution serving as source of information about history of Kanpur.

This mosque was constructed for the royal members of the Shah Jahan court.

Inscription on these temples tells of the advent of Jainism and the many Tirthankaras and their sayings. The place was repeatedly attacked during the reign of Mahmud Ghazni and many temples were destroyed. Sumantanath, Ayodhya is one of the most important Monuments in Ayodha.
