Andhra Pradesh is a state in India and Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) is a state government agency which promotes tourism in Andhra Pradesh, describing the state as the Koh-i-Noor of India. Andhra Pradesh has a variety of tourist attractions including beaches, hills, caves, wildlife, forests and temples.
Kalingapatnam, Andra Pradesh
Kalingapatnam is located in Gara mandal of Srikakulam District. It has one of the major beach sand deposits of the state. Kalingapatnam was one of the ancient Andhra’s harbour towns. Perfumes, textiles and so on were exported to other countries from the port. Kalingapatnam port was closed during the British rule of India, but the lighthouse constructed by the Britishers here was still operational. Kalingapatnam Beach is the place where river Vamsadhara empties into Bay of Bengal. The main attraction here is the beaches and lighthouse.
Mandasa, Andra Pradesh
Mandasa is a village in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. The village is known for a famous and most worshipped “Vasudeva temple”. The history of this place dates back to 14th century. This temple dedicated to Lord Krishna is highly renowned. The place is of high religious and mythological importance. It is believed that the Pandavas, during their exile took shelter at the Mahendra Giri Hills. The main attraction here are Mahendragiri Hill, Vasudeva Temple and Forts.
Tirupati
Tirupati is a pilgrimage city in the extreme southeast of Andhra Pradesh in Chittoor district. It is often referred to as a synonym to Tirumala, which is a sacred temple town famous for Sri Venkateswara Temple also known as Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple. Tirupati is also known for its fairs and festivals. The biggest festival though is Tirumala temple Brahmotsavam, the Vijayanagara Festival held at Chandragiri Fort and the Rayalaseema Food and Dance Festival are some other attractions of the temple town. The Gangamma Jatra held for a week in May is another important festival here. It is held at the Tataiah Gunta Gangamma temple in Tirupati and is known for its unusual rituals.

Srikalahasti
Srikalahasti, popularly known as Kalahasti is one of the ancient and most important Shiva Kshetras situated in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Srikalahasti is famous for Srikalahasteeswara Temple (referred to as Srikalahasti Temple) which was built around the 10th century. The entire temple was carved out of a single huge stone hill. The temple of Kalahasteeswara is one of the most impressive Siva temples in India. This temple features 120 feet high enormous and ancient gopuram over the main gate. The initial structure of this temple was constructed by Pallava kings in the 5th century.
Vizag
Vizag is known for its beaches as it is situated along the “Bay Of Bengal” coast. Apart from beaches, you will find scenic hills, valleys and caves for perfect family outings here. Some of the major tourist attractions present here are Rushikonda Beach, Ramakrishna Mission Beach, Yarada Beach, Submarine Museum, Lighthouse, Kailasagiri hill park, Venkateswara Temple, VUDA Park and Bheemili Beach.
