Tigers are natural predators, familiarise to hide and seek and to survive in silence. The best place to spot the tigers is Sonbhadra River. During the summer season, you can discover tigers swimming in the waterway to maintain their body temperature. Satpura National Park is a definitive haven for safari fans as one may get excited with the striking uneven landscapes, dense Jungles, untouched forestlands, and some more. Cuddled in the lap of Satpura Ranges, the park is among the most wonderful nature stores of India. Tourists are allowed to Jungle Safari by Jeep, boat or on Elephant back. Just 8 people are permitted to sit during jeep safari in which 1 guide and 1 driver are required to assist the tourists. It is perhaps the most ideal approaches to observe wildlife.

Most Importantly, Satpura has a group of elephants which are trained to give the tourist a ride for spotting Tigers and are also put on a ‘Tiger Show’, which is done by the park management during Monday Safari. For Tiger Show, you have to pay a certain amount to the officer in charge then you are permitted to view Tigers from a protection distance or do photography.

Aside from elephant and jeep ride, sailing in Denwa River is likewise probably the best experience that one can have in their lifetime. Boat Safari in Satpura offers an incredible chance to observe the wonderful slopes and exciting untamed life of the woods. You can detect tremendous types of birds and creatures while paddling mutely along the outskirt of the jungle.

The vegetation of Satpura Park looks dense with 1300 types of vegetation including Teak, Sal, Tendu, Mahua, Bel, Bamboos, Grasses, Hedges, and a number of other plants that have remedial and medicinal properties are found here.

Fauna

Fauna of Satpura National Park is a dazzling experience treat for the wildlife safari enthusiast. One can appreciate spotting various types of creatures like Panther, Tiger, Chital, Nilgai, Four-Horned Pronghorn, Bhedki, Rhesus, Monkey Chinkara, Wild Hog, Buck, Fox, Flying Squirrel, Indian Joint Squirrel, etc.

Aside from these, there is likewise an immense type of Birds like Malabar Pried Hornbills, Peaked Bird of Prey Falcons, Heaven Flycatchers, Thrushes, Fowls, Peafowl, to give some examples.

During Winters: 06:30 AM to 10:30 AM(Morning), 01:30 PM to 5:30 PM(Evening)

During Summer: 06:00 AM to 10:00 AM(Morning), 02:30 PM to 6:30 PM(Evening)

The park remains closed from 1st July till 15th October.

Reaching Satpura National Park

By Air: Satpura National Park could be reached from these three airports: Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal (Approx. 209 Km), Jabalpur Airport (Approx. 368 Km), Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur (Approx. 274 Km)

By Rail: The nearest railway stations are: Pipariya (50 Km), Bhopal (140 Km), Jabalpur (260 Km)

By Road: Satpura National Park is connected to several cities by road including Bhopal (180 Km), Jabalpur (360 Km), Chindwara (360 Km), and Nagpur (265 Km).
