It is erected atop a small island in Kanyakumari. This statue stands 25th among all the statues in India. Thiruvalluvar statue is purely made up of cement and concrete building in an Indian architectural style by designer, V. Ganpathi Sthapati. The statue was completed in 1999 almost after 9 years of hard labor work.

It was built in the year 1956, at the center of the Kanyakumari, dedicated to the Father of the Nation. It is built in the place where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi had been kept. This building is a unique structure, painted pink, which gives it the name Pink Memorial. 9. Vattakottai fort, Kanyakumari

Vattakottai fort is one such exploration. This beautiful fort was built in the 18th century, during the Travancore kingdom. The massive structure surrounded by lush green carpet is a view worth watching. People love to explore the garden and fort equally.
