Travel Lombok & Uncover the Hidden Beauty of Indonesia

-

Jakarta and Bali are the most explored, travelled and Instagrammed destinations of Indonesia. I don’t why I just stuck with the beauty of this country. Some destinations and spots are still uncovered by many travellers. The natural beauty, Borobudur Temple, Swings of Ubad, national parks and mesmerising beaches of Nusa Islands filled with romantic ambience has pulled many travellers and couples towards Indonesia. However, Lombok is still unexplored and unspoiled. This destination is special in Bali.

So I am here again with another new post, one more destination of Indonesia – Lombok which you must cover during your Indonesian trip…

Lombok – Untouched Destination of Bali

Lombok is offering incredible beaches, waterfalls and even a volcano, but without the huge crowds of tourists as it is still undiscovered. The reason is that the tourism industry of these islands wants to be kept under control to protect the historical and natural allure of Lombok. Its landscape and traditional ancient spots and islands are highly admirable and if somebody wants to spend private time with their loved ones then … besides Bali, then Lombok is good for them.

On the main Lombok Island itself, Selong Belanak is among the most beautiful beaches while the village of Sukarare offers a fascinating glimpse into local handicrafts and lifestyles. Oh wait let’s discuss appropriately all of them –

Main Places of Interest For A Lombok

The major highlight and top destination of Lombok are the Gili Islands which further comprises 3 sub gorgeous tropical islands, They totally a paradise for couples to spend good time together and all of them are distinguished, have a unique atmosphere and allure. They are located off the north-west coast and can be reached by speedboat from Lombok. • Gili Trawangan: The most famous and established among the three is Gili Trawangan. Gili Trawangan is renowned for its party and drinks, traditionally recognized as a backpacking mecca. But it’s a long way to go and now is familiar and has more rooms away from the main bars. The largest of the 3 Gili Islands, it has the longest and best laid-out roads, ending at its northwest’s most tranquil beaches. Within just an hour, you can comfortably go for a leisurely walk around the entire Gili Trawangan radius.
  • Gili Meno: The centre of the islands is Gili Meno and therefore the least established. There are a few options here for accommodation. The island is calmer and more relaxed than Gili Trawangan, but less to do.
  • Gili Air is the nearest and has a laid-back feel to Lombok mainland. It is the second most common island after Trawangan. It also has a very current party scene with high season full moon parties. Gili Air provides a perfect mix of white sand and crystal-clear waters favoured by divers and snorkelers, as well as a wide variety of restaurants, beach bars and dive shops that can be found both within and along the coast.
