Atlantic City is one of the topmost seaside destinations in New Jersey, USA. With a wide range of sandy beaches and casino hotels in its stride, the Atlantic City is always on top of any tourists visiting the USA for the first time. The City has many holiday hideouts that are a must-see for any traveler and host some of the biggest party environments for nightlife lovers. Whether it comes to romantic dinners or romantic sunrise you will find the perfect spots for each one of them.

The Atlantic City Broadwalk is the best way to start your day with a beautiful sunrise. Other famous highlights of the city include a huge amusement park, amazing spa experience, flush in casino and historic places that dates back to the 18th century. The city is also known as the “Las Vegas of the East” due to its Jersey Shore Casinos.

Boardwalk in Atlantic City

Atlantic City Boardwalk was built in 1870 and is a good relaxing point for travelers. From simply walks along the seaside that has some picturesque to dining, shopping and pub-crawling. Restaurants and Cafes around here serve all kinds of cuisine while refreshing cocktails are sold at vibrant bars along the promenade. The Atlantic City Boardwalk is one of the top attractions in the city.

Steel Pier

Steel Pier is one of the famous attractions in Atlantic City. It is located on the City’s Famous Boardwalk and is actually very close to the Trump Taj Mahal. It extends over 900 feet into the Atlantic Ocean. The famous attraction inside Steel Pier is the amusement park with over 25 themed rides. Apart from an amusement park, you will find challenging games, food outlets, family pubs and street vendors.

There are many different rides available inside the amusement park, including a double-decker carousel, Ferris wheel, freedom flyers, slingshots, etc. You can find some good places to dine here with your family with beautiful ocean views. So if you are traveling with your kids then this place is a must-visit.

Absecon Lighthouse

If you like to visit historical places, then Absecon Lighthouse will surely amaze you. The structure is 171 feet high and is New jersey’s tallest lighthouse. As I said historical before so for the record The National Register of Historic Places has registered this lighthouse as one of the oldest in the country. Lighthouse is open to the public with 228 steps to reach the top from where you can embrace the spectacular views of the Atlantic City. The lighthouse was designed by George Meade. The lighthouse is still operational and has a replica of Lightkeeper’s Dwelling. You can also find an educational museum and a gift shop inside it.

Atlantic City Aquarium

Present inside the Waterfront’s Ocean Life Center complex Atlantic City Aquarium is one of the biggest aquaria you will see. It acts as a host for more than 100 species of marine animals and fish. There are many fun activities which are carried over here that attract every age group.

The tropical shark touch tank allows visitors an opportunity to feel several species of sharks while the Mid-Atlantic Coastal Zone boasts a variety of local organisms such as horseshoe crabs and sea urchins that can also be touched. You will also find seahorses, moon jellies, moray eels, and Terrapins here. Tourists are also provided with the opportunity to feed the animals and play with them.

The Quarter at Tropicana

The Structure is 3 stored buildings with a touch of Old Havana inside them. The Quarter at Tropicana is like no other shopping, dining and entertainment venue on the East Coast. At The Quarter, you are bound to find just what you are looking for with over 30 Atlantic City shops under one roof.

Visit the Tropicana’s IMAX Theatre, located on the third floor of The Quarter, whose five-and-a-half story high screen, digital surround sound, and advanced 3D film technology promise an unforgettable movie experience. End the day by dining in style at one of the many award-winning restaurants and dancing the night away at a nightclub.

Till now we have discussed some major attractions that the city has to offer, but it has something for adventure lovers too. If you like parasailing then Atlantic City will never disappoint you. Atlantic City Parasail has a wide range of parasailing and watersports opportunities in Atlantic City. A short walk from the Boardwalk you will get to Gardner’s Basin where you will find this magnificent place. This has a full license to carry out parasailing trips off the shores of the city.
