Any park can be a Jurassic park if you are with your kids! Well, that was a joke! However, the long walking trails and the not so kids-friendly atmosphere can ultimately lead to travel disaster. Some National parks are not kids friendly and prohibit the idea of bringing them along. It is anyways not recommended to take kids below three to such tours.

There are long walks involved without any resting rooms available. Some parks also don’t allow eateries and that would get kids even more cranky. So, how would you find out kid-friendly parks around you or around the places that you are planning to visit going forward?

Well, that exactly what we are planning today here at India Imagine. We will be listing out few fabulous parks across the globe that are family-friendly particularly with kids.

Before jumping into the list, we need to focus on few primary things… Check climate before going to national parks while including kids in your tour. Keep a tab on the health of your kids. It is not recommended to take kids who are below the age of 3. And avoid parks that demands ling walk unless you are ready to carry your kids all along the tour!

Rocky Mountain National Park- Colorado

Rocky Mountain National Park is quite a place that you are looking forward to spending time with your family. This park is spread across 415 square miles. However, the campground across the park makes it the most family-friendly. With abundant wildlife and several beginners hiking areas, this goes well with your 10 and above year old kids. There is the wildlife that includes elk, moose, Lynxes and other various animals. And not to mention the beautiful whitewater falls at the end of the park to relax.

Yosemite National Park- California

Yosemite National Park is a royal affair. Spread across the land, 747000 acres with sharing borders with wonderful Nevada. Visiting Yosemite park is not like any other park. It is also about discovering self, uncovering the history of the place and not to mention there are treasure hunts too arranged for your inquisitive family. There is a tremendous level of safety and precautions taken as the park itself is too big not to mention. A GPS is given in handy to locate you in case you stray away from the group. Incase!!!

Glacier Bay National Park- Alaska

Glacier Bay National Park is famous for whale breach sitting. It is quite a fascinating sight to see a giant humpback whale in the still icy waters. And assume what you sight and memory your kids would carry home and rest of their lives. Apart from that, there are few boat rides and imaginably large cruises available for families to spend time together. And for more adventure how about whale watching? Yes, whale watching is the most popular site that we can see in the area.

The Grand Canyon National Park is straight from the Hollywood treasures hunt movies, be it Mackenna’s Gold or the Indiana Jones. The entire place is a picture-perfect still. No matter what your taste is you are not gonna give up on these. Such is the magnificence of these iconic places. There is four picnic spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. The orange and the red colored layers of mud are worth a watch. And I can’t give you the required description as you need to be there to fell in love with the place!

Arches National Park- Utah

Arches National Park is, particularly for kids. High sandstones and the rock formation into hikes make a great place for kids to get rid of the extra energy. There are hiking points that didn’t require parent supervision to say precisely. Also, the delicate arch is the major attraction of the spot. You can hire mountain bikes to see around and give a break from walking.

Great Smoky Mountain National Park- Tennessee

It is estimated that on average there is a five million visit annually. People love this place to such an extent. And the reasons are quite obvious. Waterfalls, green forest, swimming in the pond in the middle of lush green forest. What more can a wanderlust ask for? Well, there are more stored in for you. Tourists can enjoy riding a horse while wandering through the wilderness. And when many parks are shit down in the weekend, the great smoky mountains are opened on weekends with kids mini-golf and go-kart! That’s too much fun!

Hawaii island is well known and popular among bag packers from all around the world. But how many of you know that it can be a fun place for an inquisitive kid? Yes, visit the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and find it out by yourself. This park provides an extremely rare view of active Volcanoes to your kids and knows more about them and their formation. The visit would be fun and knowledgeable. The mountains spitting red and orange lava will be a sight to watch. And if you are concerned about safety, you need not to. The authorities have made the park the most family-friendly!
